India vs Australia Highlights, 2nd Test at Melbourne, Day 4: India makes come back with 8 wickets win

December 29: Ajinkya Rahane in absence of Virat Kohli leads India to an eight-wicket win against Australia on the fourth day of the second Test match at the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground, chasing down the fourth innings target of 70 runs.
On Day 4, after ending the Australian Team at 200 all out on day 2 in second innings, Debutant Shubman Gill stays not out on 35 while captain Ajinkya Rahane completes the job as he blunts the Aussie attack with a signature unbeaten 27 and deservingly scored the winning runs.
The victory is India’s fourth at the MCG making Melbourne Cricket Ground India’s most successful venue away from home. This is India’s second win in a row at Melbourne in Test cricket.
After Adelaide’s poor performance, India remains cautious even after the early wicket of Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara as Gill and Rahane stay firm and leads India to the gateway of win.
At the start of day 4, Aussies add 67 runs by playing around 37 overs totally of yesterday’s score of 133/6 but ends up with 200 all out. J. Bumrah once again gives a breakout by taking P. Cummins’s wicket for 57 runs.
On another side, all-rounder Cameron Green keeps on playing and scores 45 off 146 deliveries, adding another 21 runs with Mitchell Starc but ends his inning to debutant Mohammed Siraj. Nathan Lyon, too ends his wicket to M. Siraj and the last wicket goes to Ravichandran Ashwin.
India now needs 70 runs to achieve a win, Shubman Gill and A. Rahane instead of early wickets keep on moving to win. India’s batsmen’s great performance along with the bowler’s performance achieves an 8-wicket win.
Now, it’s all set for the series as both are 1-1 with two matches to go and now the third match will going to be played on Sydney ground stadium.
